Border guards of Chernihiv Border Guard detachment in cooperation with customs service officers detained two citizens of Russia with drugs at “Novi Yarylovychi” border crossing point yesterday. Both men intended to enter Ukraine.

One of the detainees travelled by “Mercedes” vehicle. The man chose “green corridor” lane for passing control procedures. However, as he was very nervous, his car was subjected to detailed inspection. A package with nearly 49 grams of white colour substance, 3 packages with 265 grams of pressed brown substance and 2 packages with nearly 2 grams of crystalline substance were found under the rear seat. Two first substances are most likely cocaine and hashish. The driver and detected substances were transmitted to customs officers for detailed examination and taking future decision.

Another citizen of Russia went to Ukraine as pedestrian. He followed to Kyiv to a rock music concert. While checking, officers of border crossing point detected a package with 10 pills and 2 capsules with white powder. The analysis showed that LSD pills and capsules with amphetamine were in the package.
